Candle Care

Candle Care

Ensure you get the full burning & scent experience from your candles by following a few simple steps outlined below.

Your first burn is the most important - Allow your candle to burn for approx. 2-3 hours or until the wax has melted across the surface and as close to the edge of the tumbler as possible. This will prevent tunnelling and promote an even wax melt for future burns that will maximise your candles burning time.

Trim the wick – If your wick is too long it will create over burning & produce excessive carbon (black soot). Before each use trim the wick to 6-7mm.

Do not let the candle burn for any longer than 3 hours at a time.

Our natural soy wax does not contain any chemical hardeners therefore hot weather may cause “sweating” (small beads on condensation on the wax surface), this will not affect the burning of your candle.

Candle Safety

The candle should always be placed on a flat, heat resistant surface.

Never leave a burning candle unattended and out of reach from children and pets.

Keep the candle away from any flammable materials.

The lid provided may be used when not burning to avoid the surface collecting dust

Discontinue using when there is less than 1cm of wax remaining

Container Re-Use

To re-use & re-purpose the glass tumbler, fill it with hot water to melt any remaining wax and wipe out with paper towel. Rinse and wash with hot soapy water.  Do not pour melted wax down the drain.

Rose Quartz Range - Additional Care Tips

As well as our standard candle care, we suggest the following additional care tips for Wildfire Crystal Infused Candles:-

Allow the wax to melt to the edge of the jar for every burn, this takes around 2-3 hours

Do not burn for longer than 3 hours at a time.

We recommend removing the crystals before your first burn.

If you wish to infuse your candle with the crystals, you can leave them in the candle.  The crystals will drop beneath the surface as the wax pool melts and then peak through again when you re-light it.  If you find the crystals start to inhibit the wick simply use a metal spoon and direct the crystals away from the flame.  This will ensure your candle continues to perform at its best burning ability.

The crystals can be removed once the wax has dissipated. Just pour boiling water into the jar and the heat will dislodge the crystals, they can then be washed with warm water and re-used.
