General Conditions

By visiting our website, visiting our pop up stores and/or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “service” and agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”, "Ts & Cs"), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein, including but without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/or contributors of content. The term "service" also refers to our product/s, affiliates.

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before accessing or using our website or choosing to engage in our "Service".  If you do not agree to all the Terms and Conditions of this agreement, then you may not access the website or engage in our "services".

Any new features or tools which are added to the current store shall also be subject to the Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these Terms and Conditions at anytime, it is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to the website following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason, at any time.

Unless otherwise indicated, Au Fait Living owns the copyright of the material on the website.  Au Fait Living does not grant you any rights to use our website content unless we expressly consent it in writing.

You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the "service", use of the "service", or access to the "service" or any contact on the website through which the service is provided, without express written permission by us. 

Third Party Websites

The website contains links to other websites controlled by third parties, we do not control the content on Third Party Websites.  If you wish to visit these Third Party Websites you do so at your own risk and should make your own enquiries before relying on any content contained within the Third Party Website.

Modifications to the Service and Prices

Prices for our products are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the “service” (or any part or content thereof) without notice, at any time. We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the “service”.

Errors, Inaccuracies and Omissions

Occasionally there may be information on our site or in the Service that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, offers, product shipping charges, transit times and availability. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions and to change or update information or cancel orders if any information in the Service or on any related website is inaccurate at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order).

If an such an error effects your order we will contact you and give you the option of reconfirming your order or cancelling it.

Products

Certain products may be available exclusively online through the website or exclusively through our pop up stores. 

Our products are sold at various other locations. Whilst we try to maintain accurate quantities on the website there may be times where an item has sold out prior to your order being received resulting in us not being able to fulfil your order.  If this happens we will contact you to offer you a refund or suitable alternative. We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products, we cannot guarantee that your computer monitor's display of any colour will be accurate.

Many of our items are hand made and as such you can expect some minor variations in the design, colour, tones of the natural materials can be expected and we believe add to the unique beauty of each hand crafted piece. We do not offer refunds for items which may have minor variations to those shown in our online images.

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to limit the sales of our products to any person, geographic region or jurisdiction. We may exercise this right on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to limit the quantities, discontinue or alter the design of any products that we offer. 

Processing Times

We know you’ll be eager to receive your Au Fait treasures as soon as possible and we’ll be working hard to get them to you !  We do our very best to process all orders within 3 business days of the order being placed however this may be longer during busy periods. 

If your order is urgent or required for a specific date, please email us first to ensure we can accommodate this.

Shipping & Delivery Times

We ship our items through Couriers, Australia Post and private sub-contractors. We endeavour to provide you with a tracking number, if you have not received this please check your junk folder as this is likely to be the culprit. If you still haven’t received our email please contact us at info@aufaitliving.com.au with TRACKING in the subject heading plus your name & order number.

It is our customers responsibility to ensure their delivery details are correct upon check out.

Large items may incur an additional large delivery fee, we have listed the approximate amount on the product listing as a guide.  If you would like to receive a quote prior to making your purchase please email us. Alternatively, we will contact you after your order has been received to advise the delivery amount owing and how payment can be made.  

Items that are shipped in a satchel are given automatic Authority To Leave. 

Large Bulky items are given automatic Authority To Leave.

All other items will require a signature upon delivery.

If you have specific instructions for your delivery please email info@aufaitliving.com.au with DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS in the subject heading plus your name & order number.

We do not deliver to PO Boxes, please be sure to include a physical address when placing your order.

Any delivery time frames advised are an estimate only, please refer to the couriers tracking for updates.

Our couriers & transport providers do not take requests for specific delivery dates but rest assured they work hard to get them to you as soon as possible.

Please ensure your email address and contact number are correct as we may need to contact you regarding your delivery. Changes to a delivery address may incur a fee by our courier.

Pick Up

As a courtesy to our local customers we offer a pick up service from several Gold Coast locations which will depend on the size of the item/s you have purchased and the day / time which you wish to collect it.  

We are unable to offer pick up for medium / large sized items from the markets as space is usually not available. Please contact us at info@aufaitliving.com.au to discuss.

We are a small business juggling the needs of a busy family & work life, we therefore ask for 48 hours advance notice prior to pick up so we can make necessary plans to accommodate this.  Failure to arrive on time may mean the pick up will need to be re-scheduled.

Weekend up pick up can not always be accommodated, please contact us in advance at info@aufaitliving.com.au to discuss.

Please arrange pick up with in 7 days of your order being placed.

Important - ensure your vehicle has the capacity to fit the item. Dimensions can be found under the “shipping” tab for each website product listing. If you are unsure please email us first.

We do not recommend transporting items on roof racks.

Please bring your own ropes and tie downs.

Damages

We do everything we can to ensure that every item is shipped and received in great condition. If a package is received and the box appears to be in a damaged condition, this needs to be reported to the delivery driver before signing for it. 

If you discover the item is a damage condition once you have opened the packaging please take a few clear photos and email these to us along with a description of the damage within 24 hours of receiving it. We will work with you to find a suitable outcome.

Pre-Orders

It is important to note that we do not give refunds or accept cancellations for pre-orders.  provide an estimated time of arrival for each product and we aim for this to be as accurate as possible.  At times this ETA may be delayed for reasons outside of our control (production, weather, shipping, customs inspections, national holidays for example). We endeavour to keep you updated on arrival times. If the arrival time and the possibility of a delay to this arrival time does not suit the time frame which you require the item in, please do not purchase it.

All orders are dispatched as a whole. If you purchase an available item with a pre-order item, the available item will be sent to you when we receive the pre-order item. If you would like an available item shipped earlier we suggest you make two separate purchases or contact us to discuss.

Accuracy of Billing and Account Information

We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address.  In the event that we make a change to or cancel an order, we may attempt to notify you by contacting the e-mail and/or billing address/phone number provided at the time the order was made. We reserve the right to limit or prohibit orders that, in our sole judgment, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers or distributors. Unless we have given you permission you may not resell or distribute our products.

Returns & Refunds

If the goods you receive are damaged or not of the quality you expected, you may have rights under:

  • Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cwth))
  • Other consumer laws that apply in each Australian State or Territory.
  • Our Refund Policy.

We do not provide refunds for change of mind however we are happy to provide a store credit note. You will need to pay applicable shipping costs for the return of the goods, in their original packaging. 

Clearance items or warehouse sale purchases are final, we do not offer returns or refunds on these items.

Should a refund be required it will be processed via the same payment method which payment was received. Refunds may take 3-5 business days for the merchant to process.

If you receive an incorrect item or if anything in your order is incorrect, please contact us immediately. You will need to provide photos and the item will need to be returned to us, the process will be sent to you via email. 

Changes to Terms of Service

You can review the most current version of the Terms of Service at any time at this page. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to update, change or replace any part of these Terms of Service by posting updates and changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check our website periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to our website or the Service following the posting of any changes to these Terms of Service constitutes acceptance of those changes.
